We have a very informative session coming up this month! We hope you will join us. SPL February Conversation in Leadership: Redefining Leadership for Women and Marginalized Voices Presented by: Towerscope, Duke University, Department of Veteran affairs Instructional Level: Students, early-Mid Career, & Mid-Advanced Career In the past 4 years, we have seen the rate of improvement in the gender leadership gap not only slowing down but moving backwards. The World Economic Forum's prediction for achieving gender parity went from 100 years to 131 years and there has been a steady decline of women in senior leadership and C-suite roles, after a slight increase in previous years. This workshop addresses the complex interplay of leadership, gender, and hyper-achievement identity, which often leaves women feeling underutilized, undervalued, and frustrated. We'll explore the vicious cycle of untenable leadership paths and challenge the myths about women navigating their careers. Whether you're a leader, coach, or consultant, you'll leave with at least one actionable strategy to redefine leadership journeys - not just for women, but for all high-potential marginalized individuals.
Following this presentation, participants will be able to: *Define leadership as a social construct in the context of other social identities. *Name at least one way gender biases and leadership initiatives perpetuate negative experience for women leaders. *Identify one actionable strategy to reframe leadership for women and other marginalized identities. Join us Tuesday, February 18th, 2025 7:00-8:30 pm EST to learn more. This session will be available for 1.5 CE credits for $30.00 or it is free to attend with no CE credits offered. No refunds given for cancellations Please feel free to reach out to [email protected] for any questions. We look forward to seeing you there!
