![]() SPL August Conversation in Leadership: Anticipatory Leadership and Geopolitical Risk with speaker Dr. Jill Goldenziel Course available for 1.5 CE's for $30.00 or free to attend and receive no CE credits. Presented by: Jill Goldenziel Strategy/National Defense University/University of Pennsylvania Instructional Level: Students, Early-Mid Career, & Mid-Advanced Career Geopolitical risk is an anticipatory leadership problem. As tensions across the globe reshape supply chains, workforce mobility, and organizational trust, the leaders best equipped to navigate it are those who know how to read early signals and connect the psychological underpinnings to managing uncertainty. In this interactive session, Dr. Jill Goldenziel, a professor of law and leadership and founder of JG Strategy, introduces scenario planning: a method for preparing for several plausible futures at once. Working through a realistic case study, participants will build out possible futures for a global organization under geopolitical strain, identify the early warning signs of those futures arriving, and leave with practical actions they can apply as psychologists who serve as or consult with leaders. Following this presentation, participants will be able to: 1. Apply scenario-planning tools to a real-world case of geopolitical risk facing a global organization. 2. Analyze how escalating geopolitical tensions can affect workforce trust, safety, and organizational cohesion. 3. Design a robust action that holds up across multiple plausible future scenarios.
