Nina Nabors

Dr. Nina Nabors serves as Vice Provost of the Division of Healthcare Access and Quality at Walden University supporting Nursing, Social Work, Counseling, and Allied Health.   She joined Walden’s School of Psychology in August 2001 as adjunct faculty and served in a variety of roles including assistant dean for faculty development, associate dean, Psychology, and Dean, College of Allied Health.   Prior to joining Walden full time, she was a tenured associate professor in the Psychology Department at Eastern Michigan University.  Dr. Nabors is a licensed clinical psychologist in Michigan and board certified in Rehabilitation Psychology.  She is a clinical psychotherapist and co-owns a group private practice in the Ann Arbor/Ypsilanti area.  In addition to her extensive administrative and teaching history, Dr. Nabors has published and presented multiple times over the past 30 years, with research interests including women in leadership, mental health stigma, rehabilitation psychology, psychology of women/gender, multicultural psychology, LGB psychology, womanist/feminist therapy, and women with disabilities.   She received both her Bachelor of Science in Psychology and her Master of Science in Clinical Psychology from Illinois State University and earned her Ph.D. at the University of Florida in Clinical and Health Psychology and minor in Neuropsychology.
